Tidewater Yacht Service opened our doors in 1987 with a single mission: to provide the boaters of Baltimore with the highest level of repair and maintenance services available anywhere on the Chesapeake.
Since first opening 1987, we have more than tripled in size and now have 8 acres of land along with the most modern equipment available to handle your boat. Our current facility was purpose built in 2006 to insure that whether you have a runabout or a 100-footer, we can haul and service your boat with efficiency and safety using our 35- and 85-ton travel lifts, 10,000 lb marine forklift, and 40-ton Brownell hydraulic yard trailer. In addition, our 10,000 sq. ft. repair building allows us to perform all kinds of work without being influenced by the weather. While top of the line equipment is important, our most important asset is our staff.
Tidewater is owned and operated by Bob Brandon, a boating professional with over 55 years of experience repairing recreational boats on the Chesapeake. This experience has given us the ability to hire and train people who truly enjoy and excel at what they do. We send our employees to the latest industry and manufacturers’ service schools to insure that our technicians are certified to repair any and all parts of your boat to the highest standards. When you visit us, we invite you to take a walk down our “Hall of Fame” and take a look for yourself at the certifications and awards earned by our staff. Tidewater also maintains memberships with both the American Boat & Yacht Council (ABYC) and the American Boat Builders and Repair Association (ABBRA) and we complete all repairs to the high standards set forth by these organizations.
