The Smart Seal Temperature Alarm System includes:
1 Control card (Single or Twin Engines)
1 Sensor Cable with Single Engine, 2 Sensor Cables with Twin Engines
When connecting the control card to a 12/24 volt DC supply, an automatic self-diagnostic test takes place. The green OK LED will illuminate if the system is functioning correctly. If the unit detects a failure in a sensor, both the green LED and the faulty sensor’s red LED will flash and the buzzer will sound.
Once the automatic test is complete and the green OK LED remains lit, the control card will start to read the temperature measured by the sensor(s). If the control card detects a temperature in excess of the predetermined value (default setting 60° C or 140° F), the green OK LED will go out, the red LED will flash with the internal buzzer and the optional external siren which signals the overheat situation will sound. The RESET button allows the operator to deactivate these signals while making repairs. NOTE: The alarm will sound again after 15 minutes if the temperature has not lowered and the problem has not been corrected.
If the temperature continues to rise and reaches 80° C or 176° F, the overheating sensors red LED will illuminate. Also, the control card's internal buzzer and external siren (where fitted) will emit a continuous, audible signal.
