SureSeal & seriesOne
Drip Free Shaft Seals

The Tides Marine SureSeal™ and seriesOne™ Shaft Seals are drip-free, self-aligning propeller shaft seals that are OEM equipment on many well known brands and types of vessels. The SureSeal supports propeller shaft sizes ranging from 1 inch up to 8 inches and from 25 millimeters to 160 millimeters. The seriesOne supports propeller shaft sizes ranging from 7/8 inch up to 1 1/4 inches and from 22 millimeters to 30 millimeters.

With Twin Engine vessels, we recommend the SureSeal model with dual injection fittings so a passive crossover line can be installed between the 2 SureSeal shaft seals. This way, if you are trolling or have a breakdown on one engine, cooling and lubricating water is still being supplied to the SureSeal that is on the idle engine at low speeds.

Install a Spare Seal Carrier Kit at the same time you install the SureSeal shaft seal(s), and when the time comes, you will be able to change the Lip Seal in the water. No need to break the coupling or haul the vessel.

Purchase a SmartSeal Temperature Sensor along with the purchase of the SureSeal Shaft Seal(s) and extend the warranty of the SureSeal(s) by 3 years for a total of 5 years.

Rudder Bearings
and Seals

Tides Marine Rudder Bearings are durable, water-tight and abrasion-resistant products that eliminate metal-to-metal contact and the associated problems of abrasion, electrolysis and corrosion.

Tides Marine rudder bearings are self-lubricating and maintenance free. Steering is smoother and quieter.

The Upper Rudder Bearing Standard (URB-STD) and the Upper Rudder Bearing-Low Profile (URB-LP) are both ABS and Lloyds approved, self-aligning design which accomodates up to 10 degrees of off-axis alignment between the mounting surface (rudder shelf) and the rudder stock. As a result, they require no shimming during installation and won’t load up the rudder shaft during vessel operation.

Tides Marine has several types of rudder bearings with Lip Seal Technology to keep water out of your vessel, from our Type C rudder bearing to our Tube System which has the Upper Bearings, Lower Bearings and Double Lip Seals. All upper type rudder bearings are able to take the download of the rudder.

Tides Marine rudder bearings can be produced in custom sizes and lengths if needed.

Track and
Slide Systems

The Tides Marine Track and Slide System is a high-performance, low-friction mainsail handling system built to carry the increased loads and demands of today’s full-batten mainsails. When installed, the mainsail will hoist easily and drop the instant the halyard is released.

The system consists of a one-piece UHMW track and an "owner-defined" selection of matching slides and batten receptacles designed for smooth, long-lasting operation.

The system is competively priced and is sold by the foot. The Tides Track System comes with a MAXIMUM of one slide for every two feet of track. If more slides are required, they may be purchased for an additional cost.

Tides Marine produces more than 150 different mast luff groove shapes (internal flat / internal round) as well as most common external track shapes. The track is UV stable, unaffected by salt water and available in seamless lengths to 64 feet. Measurements are done with our patented measuring discs which are sent out at no charge.

The Tides Marine 316 polished stainless steel slides are available with removable pins or pinless. We have 2 different sizes of batten receptacles that take round or flat battens.
