Rudder Port/Bearing Types E/F

Product Overview
Tides Marine RPB TYPES-E/F install into port tubes which have been glassed into the hull. TYPE-E units have a flange and TYPE-F are flangeless. They may be used on power or sailboats and are bonded into the tube from above or below depending on the application.
To improve the bond strength, both types have external grooves. The units consist of a single-piece UHMW plastic housing with a nitrile lip seal. They eliminate the problems of metal-on-metal abrasion, electrolysis and corrosion. They are 100% watertight, require no maintenance and eliminate chatter and vibration resulting in quieter, smoother performance.

Before Ordering
Tides makes TYPES-E/F bearings based on the combination of stock diameter "A". (.000 in.) and tube diameter "B" for each rudder application. When placing an order, provide both of these dimensions and specify the model, E (flanged) or F (flangeless). Tides will determine your part number for you.

Note- For Type-E units, diameter "C" must be at least equal to the stock diameter plus 1-1/2 inches. Diameter "B" must be at least equal to the stock
diameter plus 3/4 of an inch.
For Type-F units, diameter "B" must be equal to the stock diameter plus 1-1/2 inches.
