The Size Shaft Seal you need is determined by 4 things. 1) What is the Outside Diameter (OD) of your propeller shaft? 2) What is the Outside Diameter (OD) of your Stern Tube (Shaft Log)? 3) What is the distance between the stern tube and the gear box coupling? In the before ordering section this is know as measurement C. 4) If this is a dual engine configuration, are you going to run a crossover between the 2 shaft seals? The easiest way to get the correct part number is to go to our Shaft Seal Selection program on the website. In the menu under SureSeal Shaft Seals and Series One Shaft Seals, you will find the programs for Standard and Metric sized units. Remember, if your particular unit is not listed, call Tides Marine as we have probably already made one before. |
